A wealth of religious buildings
The region abounds in churches of great artistic and architectural interest: Limousin Romanesque art in Aubazine, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, Meymac, Tulle, Uzerche and Vigeois, the Rotunda in St Bonnet-la-Rivière, the bell tower in Palisse, carved altarpieces in Beynat, Lostanges and Naves, the painted tympanum in Saillac, and stained-glass windows by Chagall in Le Saillant de Voutezac, to name but a few.
