This extraordinary 12C work of art has been carved out of the rock and constructed with impressive corbelling. Built by the monks from the abbey, it runs for a distance of 1.5km along the side of a rock to supply the monastery with water. Free entrance. Guided tours for individuals, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thurdays and Fridays at 2.30am and 4.30pm in July-August. Departure at the Aubazine Tourist Office. All year round for groups by prior arrangement with the tourist office. Duration: 1hr 30min. Entrance fee: 4€/individuals and groups. Free admission for children under 10.
