Housed in the 17C Hôtel du Sénéchal, this museum provides information on the origins and evolution of the Limousin landscape from Prehistory to the present day. The centre teaches visitors how to read the landscape and to recognise effects caused by natural elements and by man. The permanent exhibition comprises photos, maps, archaeological equipment and models. Temporary exhibition in July-August. Open Monday to Friday, 9am-noon and 2-5pm, except over the Christmas holidays. Open all year by prior arrangement. Duration: 2h. Free admission.
