Château du Bazaneix

7km northeast of Ussel. Access via the D159. Surrounded by a moat, this castle has retained its old 12C keep, to which twocorner towers and a tower with a staircase were added in the 14C. The monument is a listed building which is currentlyunder restoration. Guided tour giving information on the different architectural sections and interior of the castle, including the vaulted kitchen, oratory and the guardroom. Additional tours upon request for groups of at least 20 participants. Entrance fee. Open weekends from 1st July to 30 septembre, 10am-noon and 2-5pm.
