Under the patronage of the National Museum of Natural History in Paris, this centre is a showcase for the geological collection established by Docteur Louis Puyaubert in the late 19C and early 20C. A doctor from Tulle, he was also an eminent naturalist who was particularly fascinated by mineralogy – 3,000 samples out of the 6,500 collected by him can be viewed in 20 display cases here.
