Antoine Paucard (1886-1980) was a gardener, mason, poet, sculptor, revolutionary, traveller, writer and an extraordinary character. He was the founder of this small museum, which he wanted to be free of charge and open to the general public throughout the year. This self-educated man was fascinated by famous people, as well as by the planets and the mysteries of life on earth. These themes inspired his sculptures and his 120 written notebooks. His roughly-hewn and refined sculptures include portraits of Charlemagne,Napoleon, Eve and Minerva, goddess of wisdom and the arts. Also worthy of note: the tomb of Antoine Paucard in the village cemetery.
