Part of a Benedictine monastery founded at the end of the 10C by Vicomte de Comborn, this abbey church was built during the 12C and 13C. Its bell tower houses a multifoiled doorway decorated in typical Limousin style and adorned with old Romanesque capitals. The church also houses a 12C Black Madonna, similar in style to the Auvergne Madonna statues. Guided tours in July-August on Wednesdays at 3.30pm (as part of a general tour of the town) and by prior arrangement all year round for groups of ten or more participants.
