La grange aux oies

Located in the village of Collonges-la-Rouge, the Grange aux Oies (Goose Farm) is situated at the heart of a walnut grove covering 1.5 hectares. Run by enthusiastic owners, this entirely renovated farm dating from 1737 provides visitors with an opportunity to purchase a range of farm products and regional specialities. A 600m2 discovery area based on a variety of geese-inspired games, provides visitors with an opportunity to explore the farmyard (geese, ducks, turkeys, chickens, rabbits etc) and the walnut grove. Explanatory information is provided relating to geese (mythology, feathers,books, breeds etc), walnuts, truffles, the Quercy, Collonges and the Viscountcy of Turenne, fairytales and legends, and local nature. Conference and exhibition facilities. Entrance fee for the “jeu de l’oie” quiz/treasure hunt. Picnics and farm snacks available 10am-6pm. Open 10am-6pm, from 15 April to 1st November. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday (closed from 1-17 September).
