Le moulin de Niel

4km from Collonges-la-Rouge and Meyssac, this 12C water mill is fed by the Berle fountain. Go back in time with a presentation by Rémi Valeille of the different traditional methods of making flour, once considered such a precious commodity. The Moulin de Niel operates as a result of the work of his grandparents Léa et Edmond Valeille, supported by the "Amis des Moulins" organisation. To complement your visit, why not learn about the Moulin de Niel’s new walnut oil production at the oil mill reconstructed by Rémy and his grandfather, or tour the geese farm. Open daily all year (except Sunday), 9am-7pm. Guided tours every Wednesday and Thursday in July and August at 3pm (geese) and 5pm (mills). Open all year for groups by prior arrangement. Duration of visit: 1hr 30min (geese farm) and 1hr (mills). Entrance fee.
