Founded in 1979 by the staff of the National Arms Factory, this weapons museum is an important part of Tulle's industrial heritage. Providing an overview of the history of armaments in France and abroad, its unique exhibits include different models of flint pistols made prior to 1822, as well as percussion weapons, needle guns, repeating rifles, automaticrifles, weapons with blades and numerous accessories. The Musée des Armes currently houses two separate collections: 376 weapons from the Musée de l'Armée in Paris, and a collection of weapons and accessories from the Tulle area. Open: - From November to April, Monday and Wednesday to Saturday, 1-6pm, - May to October, Monday and Wednesday to Saturday from 10am-1pm and 2-6.30pm, - All year round, the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month (free admission on the 1st Sunday).
