Covering an area of 1,000m², this museum houses approximately 20 machines once used in the tanning industry, such as fullering tools, scrapers and shaving knives, as well as machines used for drying/pressing, slitting, slating and staking leather. A video provides information on the tanning process and old photos depict the work of the tanner, transforming animal hides into the final leather product. The museum runs educational workshops for children. Open daily, 10am-7pm in July-August; 10am-noon and 2-7pm, daily in May, June, September and October; Tuesday to Sunday from November to April; during the school, public holidays and by prior booking from November to January. Duration: 1hr. Entrance fee.
