Parc Arboretum et Sylvatum In the heart of the Plateau de Millevaches, at an altitude of almost 1,000m, discover more than one hundred different species of trees and shrubs amid attractive landscapes, including an English style river, small waterfalls and streams. A forestry exhibition laid out in an old greenhouse presents information panels on different aspects of the forest and forestry industry in the Limousin and on the Plateau de Millevaches. Open 1 May to 31 October: Friday, Saturday and Monday in May, June, September and October and daily in July-August, 10am-noon and 2.30-6pm; other times of year by prior arrangement. Accessible to all and adapted for the sight-impaired. Guided tours of the Sylvatum: forest walk every Thursday, 9.30am-12.30pm in July and August and by prior arrangement at other times of year.
