The waterfalls of Gimel

12km northwest of Tulle. One of the most beautiful natural sites in the département. These waterfalls consist of three successive cascades falling from La Montane at a total height of 143 metres: "Le Grand Saut" (45m), "La Redole" (38m) and "La Queue de Cheval" (60m) which plunges into the "Gouffre de l'Inferno". Waymarked paths allow visitors to explore the waterfalls, which are situated in the park laid out by the painter Gaston Vuillier between 1893 and 1899. • Open 01/03 to 01/11, daily 10am-7pm in July and August and 10am-6pm at other times of year (except Wednesday, 11am-6pm). Entrance fee.
