The medieval town of Treignac is situated at the foot of Les Monédières, on the banks of the River Vézère. Old bridges dating from the 13C, chapels, a corn market, a 15C tower and numerous old houses make this an attractive town to visit. Treignac is also renowned for its white-water sports and has hosted the World Canoeing Championships.
